APP #3: Exam Prep

APP #3: Exam Prep
This App consisted of 5 different exercises.

1: Q& A Map
This exercise was about analyzing test questions. I didn't have a test, so I tried to remember what the general questions and topics were on the last quiz I took.

2: Analyzing Test Questions
Anticipating test questions is easy. All the quizzes and tests are going to have the same format in this class. Still, it's helpful to read through the syllabus and look through the homework assignments to guess what questions will be on the next exam.

 3: Directional Word Analysis
The purpose of this exercise is to figure out what kinds of questions will be on the test based on directional phrases on previous tests. For my one academic class, there are only a few types of questions.

4: Source Outline & Topic Outline
This exercise is about creating an outline of what specific sources (notes by date, textbook sections, assignments, etc.) one should use for studying and then organizing the topics by how important/time consuming each topic is.

Here is a Word Cloud describing the assignments from this APP.

APP # 4 - Note Taking

I used the Jeopardy Note-Taking Strategy in my Art History class. The strategy consists of taking notes on the right-hand side of the page in class. After class, you make up test questions to go on the left side, so the notes taken are the answers. Making up test questions can make it easier to remember information. However, for this class the tests don't have specific questions, just standardized Art History fill-in type questions. Still,I think it helps organize notes and forces you to go over them before the next test comes up.
